It’s great!
The thickness matches the picture, it’s not like an inch thick but we upgraded from the foam playpen matt to this for my one year old and it’s Soo much better. She’s rambunctious and likes to throw herself on her stuffies and roll around. So this definitely has protected her head as much if not better than the previous matt. Sooo easy to clean and super soft. It’s very comfortable and the slip resistance is nice for when it’s not in her playpen. The size is a bit bigger but not by much and no complaints there! We got the grey one and again this was perfect im glad I spent the extra money and got this over another foam or the padded blanket rug.

Great for hardwood floors
We utilize the mat curently for play/tummy time. We originally purchased the item to use with the playpen we have for our daughter but she doesn’t crawl yet so we use it as a regular play mat without it and its been amazing. We needed it due to our hardwood floors and prior to having the mat we would stack multiple blankets which would get kind of annoying to use since you would have to straighten out the blanket constantly during play. The thickness is perfect She can Bob her head around and not get hurt where she would before if there wasn’t enough blankets on the floor. She spits up often and clean up on the mat is very easy and doesn’t not stain which is another plus. Perfect play mat, size is just right, thickness ensures safe play, very soft and comfortable, and easy to clean mess. 5 stars from me.Will update later on the fit once added to play pen.

Very cushioned
Perfect Fit and So Comfortable!I’m so happy with this cushioned mat! I bought it specifically for our 50×50 play yard in the playroom, and it fits perfectly—like it was made to go inside. The color is really nice and neutral, which works great in the space.When I first opened the package, the mat looked completely flat, but after a short time, it fluffed up beautifully and became super soft. We have hardwood floors in the playroom, so before this mat, the play yard just didn’t have enough cushion. It wasn’t comfortable for the kids to sit or crawl around in for very long.This mat added just the right amount of padding—enough to make the play area cozy and safe without being too bulky. It’s made a huge difference in how much time my little one enjoys spending in there. Definitely a great buy for anyone with a play yard on hard floors!
