Cools inflamed hemorrhoids, fresh clean scent
This kit comes with foam to apply on a pad or underwear, and three packs of cooling wipes. I thought the wipes were just that, to be used to wipe the area but the directions are to lay one on the underwear or a pad so they are in direct contact with the affected area. The wipes are narrow but long, cut specifically for this purpose. It took some maneuvering to lay the wipe in the underwear to keep it in place.As for efficacy, both the foam and wipes when applied directly immediately cooled down the inflamed area where my hemorrhoids were acting up. The foam is light and airy and I found it best for immediate relief. I prefer the scent of the wipes which have a cool clean fresh smell. The foam scent is slightly more medicinal.If I would have had a product like this after childbirth, it would have made the experience more comfortable for sure. There is a two year shelf life so it’s something that can be included in a gift basket for new moms without worry of expiration. Witch hazel is an astringent so there is a potential of over drying the skin but uses as needed, the anti-inflammatory properties are helpful.
