Animal: BearThis little fuzzy bear is an adorable nighttime safe pet for your little one to keep them safe and knowing that they are loved. So cute and cuddly, though the bear will need to stay on a dresser or other area outside of the bed or crib. There’s a hard round sort of globe like disc nestled inside that can be set to serve as a soothing nightlight and sound machine to lull your child to sleep. You will need to charge up the bear’s globe as that is the power source. Comes with a USB cable, though you will need to use your own charger.The sounds can be set to a lower or higher volume. Most are the sounds are rather soothing and low key. Some of the sounds are musical while others are more environmental. The lights are pretty cool too, though you’ll have to be careful as to where you place this bear in order to see the images that rotate around. If it’s placed in the middle of the room, you won’t really see much, or anything at all. You really have to find a location that is close to the wall, and even higher up so that it’s closer to the ceiling. Once you find that sweet spot, it’s a great little bit of nighttime entertainment for your child to keep them mildly occupied until the drift off to sleep.Because of the light and sound mechanisms device are inside, there is a little bit of weight to this bear. Without, that piece, which needs to be removed in order to get to the controls, it’s very lightweight. Any weight that it dose have is still rather light. The volume never really gets all that loud, but some might prefer using the lower setting if they find it too stimulating for the child. You’ll need to remove the globe from the bear to get to the volume controls, so you’ll want to get everything set up before you put your child down for bed. You’ll soon get to know whether your child reacts better to a lower volume or a higher one. If you determine that your child prefers a certain control for the volume, as well as the lights, there will be no need to keep removing the globe between uses. All you’ll need to do is press down on the top of the globe which will then activate, or deactivate, both the lights and the volume control.This is a really cool gift idea for a child that will be well appreciated, whether it’s for napping or for nighttime sleeping. The functionality does allow for it turning off on its own after a little time. Not really the easiest functions to access, which is why you’ll need to get to know this, be it for setting the placement in the room, or determining how to set the volume controls. But again, if you find a consistency in preferred settings, be it for the volume control or the lights, just press the globe and you are good to go.

I am giving this a one star solely for the fact that the bear itself is extremely soft and cuddly and appears well made to last.But the negatives outweigh the good.My frustration and disappointment are that there are absolutely no instructions provided in the box nor on the box nor on the product site.This chargeable bear dome comes with a very short charging cord that you use your own cube to charge.The dome that fits within an elasticized band on top of the bear is difficult for an adult to insert let alone a child trying to do it.The switches are all on the bottom of the dome and not accessible without taking the dome out of the pouch. So, if you want to change the volume (only two selections, loud and louder) or change the sound from cute and recognizable lullabies to nature sounds or make silent, you have to remove it from the bear and change the settings then fight to get the dome back into the bear.Also, the auto shut off works when it wants to. We had the sound off and just the light on, (which can be blinding) and after about 45 minutes it was still on. Then mysteriously, as we were talking about the auto shut off not auto shutting off…. it shut off!I cannot attest to the cry sensor and if it works or not.For the high price and frustration included, I would look for an alternative instead of this product.
