Toddler-Tested & Mom-Approved!
This kit came with all the essentials I needed. Everything installs without drilling, so I didn’t have to worry about damaging cabinets or walls. The adhesive has held up well so far and the locks feel sturdy when my toddler tries to yank things open.I also liked that it doesn’t look bulky or ugly, it blends in more than I expected :)Definitely recommend to anyone needing the essentials!

The short of my review is that I think this set is great for a new parent still figuring out their preferences on baby proofing options. I’ve tried just about every kind of product on the market with my kids so have versions of these elsewhere. My favorites are the 3-prong outlet covers with the removal tool. Can it get lost? Yes. But are those great for the most determined child? Yes. The strap ones in this set are useless to me because my son is strong enough to rip off the adhesive (it just can’t stick strong enough, regardless of surface), and that’s the only way to anchor them. The foam door stops are great for keeping fingers safe and for when I air out the house so the doors don’t slam on their own. Overall I’d say everything in the set works as intended and is easy to use. But the kit is missing a couple of my must-have tools like cabinet locks and magnetic locks. Still, at $15 at time of review, it’s a good starter set for a small space. If you know what you like already, however, I’d go with a more specific set of that item.

Great for first time parents, not so great for second time parents tryin to fill in gaps
I wanted to love this set. For the money I am not sure the value is there. I primarily got this because I had a different set of cabinet locks that my toddler now knows how to open so I was looking for something different.This fit the bill and I will say so far he hasn’t managed to open them yet. My baby is not crawling yet so I’m just getting a head start on baby proofing. As for the outlet covers – they feel a bit cheaply made. They do the job but luckily I have a different set I used with my first and those feel more secure. The edge protection is nice and stuck well to the furniture but I will say it’s not the most attractive looking so keep that in mind. I mostly used it for corners in my sons room so it’s not out in the open for all to see. All the pieces are definitely easy to install and so far seem like they wont leave any marks when removing. I can’t say for sure with the cabinet ones as I know my previous cabinet locks left a mark when removing them.Overall, if you want an easy all on one pack of things to use for baby proofing this is good if you’re a first time parent. If you are like me and just trying to fill in some areas that you may have gone lax on since having your first I would probably avoid the whole set and just buy the pieces you need.

Best childproofing set I’ve seen so far
Most of the child proofing kits I’ve seen have a bunch of cheap outlet covers and a couple types of cabinet locks. They only solve for denying access. This kit also includes some protective gear.For example, there is a pair of foam door stops that you can place high enough on the door to be out of your child’s reach while also preventing the door from shutting on their tiny fingers. It also includes some soft foam corner guards and a roll of soft foam corner guard material, which to me are more effective than many of the plastic or vinyl corner guards I’ve seen and tried.In addition to the protective gear, there are 4 strap locks which work great for holding down a toilet lid and can be used in a pinch to lock refrigerators and some types of cabinets. You can adjust the length of the strap during installation, but once you lock it in, the length is pretty much permanent.Finally, there are two types of outlet covers. The kit includes your classic 2 prong outlet covers, which can also easily be used in 3-prong (grounded) North American outlets, but can be difficult even for an adult to pry out. The kit also includes special 3-prong outlet covers, but there’s a bonus feature: there is a hole in the middle of the cover where you can insert one of the 2 included plastic keys to make it much easier to pull the outlet cover out. Although I’m a little apprehensive that the keys will break or get lost at some point, you can still remove the other covers the old-fashioned way by prying them out.Overall, this is a great child safety kit, and $14.99 at the time of this review seems like a reasonable price for everything included.

Great little child proofing kit. It’s got a lot of the items that come in handy when needed to keep your child safe. They are easy to install and it’s nice because you don’t have to drill into anything. They feel good quality and durable. A good set to get you started.
