Philips Avent Natural newborn gift set includes essentials for the well-being of babies so parents can take the best care of themselves. It’s a must-have among newborn essentials and a perfect choice when looking for baby shower gifts!
The Natural Response nipple with the unique opening and tip lets your baby control the pace of the milk flow, releasing it only when actively drinking – just like babies do during breastfeeding. When pausing to swallow and breathe, no milk flows. Feeding feels as natural as from the breast!
Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide, soft and flexible nipple that mimics the shape and feel of a breast. It helps the baby to latch on and feed comfortably, using its natural rhythm. With the no-drip design, the nipple helps prevent spills and lost milk. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby’s tummy.
The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold. Assembly is simple, with only a few parts, while the wide bottleneck makes filling and cleaning easy. A handy bottle brush is included.
The set also includes a Soothie 0-3m made of hospital-grade silicone and used by medical professionals to calm newborns. The orthodontic design respects the natural development of baby’s teeth and gums.
Use the Philips Avent Natural baby bottles with Philips Avent Natural Response bottle nipples. The Natural Response nipples included in this gift set come in flow rates of slow and medium. It is totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right one, age is a guide, but your baby’s approach to drinking and the feeding cues will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.
Suckling is a skill and some babies develop it quicker than others. That’s why some babies might initially benefit from our “First Flow” nipple (Nipple 0) before progressing to the Natural Response nipples. Switch to a “First Flow” nipple when your baby takes longer than 20 minutes to drink 50 ml/1.7 oz using the Natural Response nipples. If feeding difficulties persist, consult a healthcare professional.

Great Starter Bottles – Okay Brush
This is an amazing starter kit as it contains both slow and medium flows, which should work for most babies. You can also purchase additional nipple sizes for your infant. We ended up using #2 sizes for a few months, so bought extras, and then did so as our infant has aged up, now at #4. There are 6 total bottles, and you will need them all as the baby goes through so many in the first few weeks, it is like a never-ending cycle of washing and sanitizingThe smaller bottles are only 4.25 oz while the larger ones are 8.5 oz, so the smaller ones end up not being used once the child outgrows them. If you are feeding breastmilk, only 4 oz is needed, so this will be sufficient, but if you are doing formula, you’ll size out quickerBottles tend to be non-returnable once used, so you’ll want to check your baby is comfortable with these before purchasingThe brush is just okay, if you don’t have a bottle brush, it will work great (photo). On one side it has bristles to clean the nipples, on the other side it has a brush to clean the bottle (shown). We have a different brand that we like better for bottle cleaning, but this is a small negative, and the review is based on the bottles, which are 5 stars
