Probably the best infant seat on the market!
I got this seat for my newborn after researching tons of infant seats.I am not sure why Peg Perego is not advertised well in US. It is a great brand and deserves more coverage. This seat is very well made. The quality of fabric is impeccable, much better than that of UPPAbaby Mesa. It is very easy to click on the stroller and onto the base. There are couple of clutches, one on each side. Once opened, you can easily just lift the seat up, unlike other car seats, where you have to hold some sort of button at simultaneously as you are trying to lift the chair up. This is a much easier way to just unlock the clutches and lift the seat up without struggle.Another element I enjoyed and really looked forward to is the reclining option. This definitely makes a BIG DIFFERENCE in my baby’s experience. I have compared the reclining in Cybex seat and it is much easier with Peg Perego lounge. This option to recline along with the weight limit will definitely extend the time by when the baby needs the actual stroller seat. Once reclined, it is almost the same as the standard stroller seat. It should last up until 35 pounds, which should be when baby is about 15 months! It is much longer than what I had with my previous Mesa and I am so looking forward to using this seat all the way through. If your baby is your second, you can delay getting the second seat for much longer and just utilize the car seat. If you have an older sibling who will outgrow the stroller soon, you can skip buying the second seat altogether.Overall I am incredibly happy with the seat, I also got the canopy cover for the winter, which is very high quality and protects my baby very well, she looks very cozy inside.

Great quality
Amazing car seat. Great quality. It’s roomy and yes heavy but manageable considering you’re getting reclining feature. For those who couldn’t position the baby in it, just get the wedge out of the insert or the whole newborn insert (it says to remove at 8lbs!) not sure why people can’t read manuals. This car seat is definitely worth the price, the materials feels high end and it’s made in Italy, 99% of car seats made in china.

Bad quality: seat stuck in the base, poor ventilation, heavy, reclining feature is useless
This purchase was a massive disappointment for both the brand and the product. The quality would be understandable if it costs $200, but not $1k+ for a full set.We bought a stroller, a car seat with a base, and a bassinet. The main reason for this choice was that a single wheel base can be used with a stroller, bassinet, and car seat. The stroller had very hard plastic wheels and no suspension. Our kid experienced strong, unstoppable vibrations from the wheels even when used on a regular asphalt pavement. It was impossible to use the wheels anywhere except on smooth concrete roads, and the stroller stuck to any non-paved surface. The car seat was uncomfortable for a newborn because the inserts were not small enough. We have to put our inserts made with towels. When the kid grew, the seat size became fine, but it didn’t ventilate well; the kid became wet after 15-20 minutes of the ride and started crying. The belt position is too low on the back and too high on the bottom, so fastening is always a yoga exercise for the kid, no matter how you configure it. When reclined, the seat doesn’t become flat. The kid still sits in the V position, so it is comfortable for 10-20 minutes, not more. Useless for walks. It takes time to configure the leg of the base, so don’t plan to move it from one car to another. When no seat is installed, the base moves up and down and makes a lot of noise. A day ago, a car seat got stuck in the base and can’t be removed anymore. The stroller does not incline all the way back but stops in a weird position in the middle, so the kids sleep with their legs up, which is unhealthy for smaller kids and uncomfortable for bigger kids. The bassinet handle broke on day 2. I wrote to warranty, and they sent a new one. Guess what? The bassinet came broken.

Great car seat. No complaints.
This is my first time buying an infant car seat. As far is installation goes I just watched a YouTube video and it was easy. Also to make sure I did the installation correctly I took the car to the police station to get the car seat inspected (I passed inspection). Great solid feel nice color. No complaints.

Very Disappointed
I bought both the car seat and stroller thinking since this item cost this much, I’m getting a quality product and a great investment. I should have paid attention to the note I saw, that this item had a lot if returns. My daughter used the carseat to bring her daughter home and we had a difficult time positioning the baby comfortably and securely in the car seat. Even the hospital staff was puzzled by how it was difficult for the baby to rest in the car seat and the babies head looked raised forward rather tgan laid back like most car seats. If we didn’t throw away the box, I promise I would’ve returned the item along with the stroller I have yet to try. I’m nervous about that. Pretty much over $1,100 wasted. My husband just went to Target to get my daughter another carseat for much less. I guess quality is not in the high price. My advise, simply stay with traditional carseats.

Great features, but…..
I love this car seat. But, it’s too heavy. I rely on my husband to carry it for me everytime. I love the ypsi stroller I have. But I don’t think it’s the most practical to have to lift it using two hands on either side of this big car seat. (I’m a short gal). The I love that peg perego has indicators if the car seat has snapped on to the stroller or the base properly, but the indicators for the base are in the front. I really can’t fit my head in the front of the base to check everytime, so for me they’re useless.I really love the features peg perego has but, I don’t think they’ve considered convenience for all moms enough.

My Daughter in Law was Elated
On my daughter in law’s wish list for the arrival of her and my son’s newest addition. They raved over the quality. Thank you!
