So far so good…sudsy clean, smells good, detangles nicely
I purchased this for my 2 year old son. So far so good. Makes a great sudsy wash. Leaves hair feeling clean and smells great too! I also purchased the conditioner and detangler. I was using Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus products in his hair, but I didn’t like that the shampoo didn’t create a good sudsy wash and the hair cream eventually started leaving his hair feeling hard and with residue buildup. So far, (Used two times so far) Cantu has made my sons hair more manageable, smells great and I haven’t noticed much buildup. I keep his hair in braids and plan on letting it keep growing, so it’s important to have something that keeps his hair clean, soft and manageable. He is non-mixed African American.

This shampoo has been amazing for my kids hair! She used to wake up with a mess and now she has dream curls. We use the shampoo and conditioner.

Works better for thick, dehydrated hair
I’m not a kid, but as someone with a big head of wavy hair, I was pretty excited to try this product for hydration purposes. My hair is fine-medium texture. Cantu doesn’t lather much, which is usually a sign that the chemicals have been kept to a minimum. While I love that, at the same token, it just wasn’t enough to get my scalp squeaky-clean (which is probably perfect for kid-intended use as that means it is quite gentle) The caveat was that the ends of my hair got perfect hydration, but the root and scalp were left a bit greasy. I would use this again, but perhaps in place of a lightweight conditioner.

Great for multi racial, multi texture hair!
A little goes a long way. Our son had unmanageable hair, part of it was wavy, part straight, and tight ringlets at the end. Before trying this his hair was frizzy and tangled constantly…its pretty long, down his back and was hard to detangle because it has several textures. This stuff is great! It smells wonderful and a little goes a long way. His hair is more manageable and the waves/curls look better and healthier. I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and detangler from this brand and all 3 products are awesome!

Honest review
My daughter is bi-racial and her hair is unique. Using this makes hair hair softer, manageable, and easy to style. In addition to the natural oils there is no thick residue, or funky build up. It washes out clean as well. it creates a good lather and has a mild citrus scent. The price is ideal and unfortunately where I live I can’t go and purchase this.

Works great for my 3 year old!
I think my 3 year old has gorgeous, loose curls, but I noticed that the kids/baby shampoo I was using was making them lose their definition. I searched all over for a curly hair, tear free shampoo and this was the only one I could find. I will admit I hesitated to get it because I thought it might be too heavy for her hair, but I took a chance and use it about twice a week with the conditioner every other time I do, and it’s been working great! It smells amazing and doesn’t bother her eyes, can’t ask for much else. Will definitely be repurchasing.

My son has tight small curls/coils and this shampoo helped his hair greatly. We also use the detangler from the same brand. Does wonders for his hair!

Great product. The smell is so lovely and helps my sons very tight curls look great. He hates hair washing as he is 2, but this has helped a lot with minimising pulling. His hair is so soft after and curls really keep their shape.
