Great for the price!!!
This car seat is super easy to install with the click tight installation. We needed something both compact and narrow for a sedan and this did the trick. It’s sturdy and my daughter can easily get in it when we open the door for her. It is also long lasting in rear facing mode which was important to us. The no-rethread harness makes it easy to adjust the seat height too. Overall would highly recommend this to someone who is looking for a seat that is comfortable, easy to install, is safe, but wants something that is more middle of the road priced compared to other car seats!

The S is worth the extra $50!
I used the Poplar both with my toddler->preschooler (extended rfing and forward facing) and with my infant, and just upgraded to the Poplar S. I think the Poplar S is nice enough to warrant the extra 15% cost, and wanted to share my comparison for anyone undecided.-The rebound bar is not a gimmick. I thought it was! We are moving to Canada and I was shocked to discover that the rebound bar is legally required for the Poplar there because the seat does not meet Canadian safety testing standards without it-The shoulder strap pads are removable on the S. I literally cannot put my Poplar’s shoulder strap pads in the wash because they are permanently fastened into the seat-The S has considerably more padding. If you’ll be using it with a newborn or expect your child to sleep in the seat a lot, the S is better suited-The Poplar’s clicktight is slightly easier to catch than the clicktight on the S. Still a very easy install regardless-Cowmooflage is as cute in person as it is in the photos 🐄 and side note, I cannot recommend the graphite color in either seat. Stains are impossible to get out and the Poplar covers aren’t easy to get off in the first placeIf you’re between Britax and another company, neither the Poplar nor the Poplar S will disappoint. Clicktight is worth every penny; I have never once had a loose or shifty install in any vehicle.Bonus: If you are neurotic like me and install your kids’ car seats on the airplane, you will be very glad to have clicktight and a 17″ seat (any wider won’t fit down the aisle, ask me how I know 😺). It’s heavy, but as long as you have it on wheels, it’s the best convertible seat to travel with by far.

Needed 3 car seats and did not want to buy a new car. These three fit in our back seat (2 rear facing and one forward facing). Plush, comfy and easy to install. Like the S bar for added safety.

Perfect for two door car
I did so much research on car seats that would fit in my two door Toyota Yaris hatchback! After weeks of searching and looking into quality car seats I decided on this one! The cow print is soooo cute! I am so happy this fits comfortably in my two door car. My backseat holds three people and even with the car seat there is room for two more people to sit! We can even put the passenger seat back without our legs feeling crushed. The only thing is once the car seat is in the car it can’t be brought out to carry our son into the house, etc. We are okay with this tho! We have a body harness we plan to use and a winter cover for him as well. We also have a Doona car seat stroller combo for my husbands car. So if we need to transport him in the car seat we will just use his car (which the Doona did not fit in my two door car!). I am so happy with this compact purchase. The car seat will grow with kids until they are 65 pounds! This car seat is great for infants as well. So happy with this purchase. (Side note: we just clipped the car seat in quick to make sure it would fit, we still have to set it up rear facing for our infant)

Decent for Compact Cars – Harness Strap Cushions DO REMOVE
This has been a great purchase to fit in my compact, Chevy Cruze. The front seat is still VERY tight – my knees hit the glove box and I have very short legs. BUT it seemed like the best option compared to others. There was a review that the cushions over the shoulder straps are not removable which almost made me not buy this seat – but I am proof that they DO remove via velcro. Everything is really smooth: the install, the gliding of the straps to tighten and untighten, and the ability to get her in and out of a very compact car. I’m really happy with the seat!!

Great quality – easy to install
Very nice car seat, the installation process was straight forward with the only real “quirk” being the angle of the seat recline which differs from car-to-car. Small-ish form factor, it fits in the backseat of my 2011 Nissan Sentra behind the driver seat and I’m not too cramped up front (5’8”). Most importantly, mom loves it and feels confident with the kid strapped in

Not great for toddlers
I think I’ve come to the realization that I LOVE the IDEA of Britax clicktight FR Free car seats! This one is so cute! But unfortunately it missed the mark and I had to send it back. Like what is up with the non removable bottom padding? And the safety message on it that says the same thing twice for extra confusion? The other car seats I have that are from Britax (both lines are retired now- Emblem and Boulevard) have removable everything! So this new feature made this car seat a very tight fit through the hips and legs for my 28lb, 20 month old. Not doubting the safety of the seat at all- I just can’t imagine my son feeling very comfortable at 30+ lbs in this seat. I’m so disheartened because I really want Britax clicktight car seats but they are getting worse. I initially thought I’d get the new One4Life slim car seat but ended up not going that route when I saw kids arms getting stuck in the ventilation holes 🫠Like can moms be involved in the R&D please!?
