Great product 100%
Definitely accurate and the best thermometer I have ever used. Most the negative reviews were because I don’t think directions were followed. Make sure to keep it between .3 and 1.2 inches away from your head and measure directly between your eyebrows not above or anywhere else and you’ll get accurate results every time!Seriously I almost feel like there was a bad batch or the bad reviews are coming from maybe one bad batch of thermometers that were made or competitors and maybe some people really are having a hard time with them but it’s literally the easiest thermometer I’ve ever used and definitely the quickest.Even with my toddler thrashing around and jumping I can get an accurate read on her temperature and she can even take her own temperature. It’s literally the easiest best thing ever created. If I had had this when my little one was just a little bit smaller I could have avoided the rectal thermometers completely!Like seriously y’all don’t listen to the other reviews and give it a try and if you end up with a bad one just return it but I promise you we bought like four or five and I’ve been amazing

excellent forehead thermometer, quick, easy to use
by far the best auto forehead thermometer – easy to use, just press the on button and then the scan. i’ve had one that was so difficult to use i kept getting the word ‘lo’ when i scanned. it hardly worked. this one is quick and the shape of it at an angle makes it easier to use. you can easily see past readings too and store them.

Great for users with low vision!
I’m legally blind. I’ve tried sublingual thermometers, both digital, and analogue (old school), and they’re next to impossible for a person with low vision to use. By the time you get magnifier over them, they’ve adapted to the room’s temperature. LOL. This product has big, easy to see numbers, and a bright, red, or green backlight. Nothing about this display looks faded, at all. It’s brilliant, and vibrant. The start, and end tones help a lot, to let you know when the temperature has been taken. By the way, I tested mine on a room wall, and then went to the thermostat, and noted it’s temperature was fairly close to what I got from the thermometer. Then, I checked with my forehead, and got a good reading. It’s very fast, and once the temperature has been taken, it stops sensing, so what you see, is the exact snapshot of what it measured.Although the manual was a bit vague, the unit is fairly easy to use.By the way, I couldn’t help but notice how much this thermometer resembles an hand phaser from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Even the model number has “1701” in it. LOL Very cool.It also came with two triple A batteries.

Quick, accurate, good value
Actually found this to be quite accurate the first time I had to use this with a fever. It initializes very quickly, you can take multiple readings a few times in a row and get consistent results. The color coding of the screen and different beeps depending on normal, elevated, and high fever are helpful. Overall, very happy with this – it shouldn’t be so hard to find a reliable thermometer – the old mercury ones were the best.

Useful tool for anyone with infants and toddlers.
I purchased this for my daughter when our granddaughter was born. If you have infants or toddlers, this is a very useful tool. The accuracy is “acceptable”, this is a screening tool. It takes surface temperature and not core temperatures, which are much more accurate on infants and toddlers. But It will give you enough information to make an informed decision about your child’s medical status. I did compare it to a rectal temp. The recta temp was slightly higher than the surface temperature this thermometer found, but only by .2°F. So it is accurate and reliable enough for its intended use.Is this as good as the ones we used in the hospital, well yes and no. The hospital thermometers cost significantly more, but they are also used in some cases hundreds of times per day. They were also dropped frequently. These thermometers needed to be built to a different standard than one that will sit in a medicine cabinet for months or years without being used.

Inconsistent readings and confusing settings
The thermometer looks well made and is easy to hold, but performance was inconsistent. The device frequently switched between modes and temperature units, which made it confusing to use.Readings varied noticeably within seconds under the same conditions, so I could not fully rely on the results. For a medical device, stability and accuracy are very important. It may work for quick general checks, but I would not use it as my primary thermometer.

I have ordered this product in June 2025 but the manufacturing batch goes back to 08 2022. Had to return as I was concerned with product viability.
