Bought for a fussy baby
I bought this for my baby who hates the armpit thermometer. She doesnt not mind this at all and it so far has seemed fairly accurate. I like it has the option for temple or ear temperature checks.

Quick and consistent
I don’t have any way to independently check the accuracy or calibration of this thermometer, but I’ve found it to be more consistent across several readings than other thermometers we own. It’s also quicker and easier to use, and the versatility of using it on the forehead or in-ear is nice. The battery hasn’t died yet since we’ve had it, so I imagine it’ll last a few years of normal use. It’s functional and well-priced, and I have no complaints.

Not accurate
It is highly inaccurate. I can turn it on and off in the exact same spot and it reads a different temperature each and every time however I still kept it because if it reads above 101 I know for sure my child has a fever granted I know if she has a fever without even checking it but if it says 101 then it’s probably higher than that.

Two methods both accurate
I have a similar forehead only unit, and sometimes I’m skeptical of it. This gives me a second unit plus an option to check inside the ear instead. Easy to use and intuitive for the two different modes. I got the same reading as my other forehead thermometer, just as fast, and just as easy to use. To read from the ear instead you just pull the forehead adapter off and you are ready to use it in ear instead. It even lights up in case you are working in the dark. (I assume it isn’t because they expect you to have trouble finding the ear canal in a well lit room)

Ear reading is consistent, forehead not so much
This thermometer is decent. It’s very straightforward to use. I like the magnetic removable head to switch it from ear or forehead. The only complaint that I have is that the temperature gauge only seemed to be accurate when using the inner ear measurement. It seemed to jump around a lot when using the forehead measurement.But other than that, the ear setting seem to be okay.

Accurate and effortless
This thermometer has quickly become a staple in our home, especially with my toddler in daycare. He’s brought home a few illnesses recently, and this has been super helpful for quick checks.The temperature reading is fast and accurate, which is essential when you’re dealing with a wiggly, sick 14-month-old. I haven’t used the ear reading yet, but I did compare the forehead reading with a rectal temperature, and they were nearly identical. That’s a huge confidence booster that it’s giving reliable results, at least to the accuracy we need for a ballpark fever vs no fever determination. It’s also very lightweight and comes with a handy carry case, so it’s easy to keep in a diaper bag or medicine kit.Note that this is designed for touch readings, so make sure you make full contact with the ear/forehead when taking a temperature.For us, this has been an excellent first line tool to quickly gauge whether a temp is elevated before deciding if a rectal temp check is necessary. It’s nice to avoid a full rectal reading when it turns out they’re actually not feverish! Highly recommend this to any parent looking for a dependable, fuss-free thermometer.
