A while back, I asked a friend how she managed to look so good despite the fact we're both aging and she leaned in and whispered, 'Shapewear.' She was right of course.
I can affirm what other reviewers here have said: It's simple, well-made, but consists mainly of one neoprene-backed pad (to go against the back, a shorter elastic band intended to go around the upper hips, and a great big long piece of elastic that you wrap around yourself over and over, pulling as needed to create shaping.
Like at least one other here, I lost a lot of weight recently and while I have good abdominal muscle definition now, unfortunately the loose stuff hasn't gone away yet (takes time). This waist trainer did a really good job of pulling me in at all the right places and snatching the hips enough to create a curvy shape.
Yes, it takes time to figure out how to use this, but the product page here on Amazon shows the basics, plus there is an insert in the packaging for online help. I'll admit to being surprised at how long the longer piece of elastic was, but it's there to gradually pack ya down. One feature I do like is that you can essentially tailor it however you like: Super tight, or not. And yes, there's little doubt this trainer will fit almost anybody. (Me, I'm 5'4" and 137lbs at present.)
I also have to say this wasn't expensive at all, but there are already a few outfits in my closet that I think would go very well with this under them. I'd say it would work with most things, except for extra sheer or clingy fabrics.
Thumbs up for sure…but again, it'll take a bit of practice to really figure out how to wrap it properly and well. The photo I included was literally my 1st effort which wasn't bad, but I'm sure I can do better.

This is not as comfortable as described but it works

This is the best compression binder I have purchased.
Love it! You can adjust it to however you want to be compressed. It doesn’t ride up much at the hips. It stays in place. Gives you a beautiful hour glass shape.

Very Long, A lot of Fabric, Fits Many Sizes
This waste trainer is SUPER long. I’m 145lbs and 5’2 and it’s very, very long. I was a bit confused when initially opening it on how to use it because it doesn’t come with any instructions. There’s almost too much fabric once it’s wrapped around your body (at least for me) but that means it fits a variety of sizes and shapes. It definitely gives you support though and the quality of the material is good however, I would wear loser clothing when using it because you’ll definitely see it through tighter work out clothes. It comes with a storage bag but honestly it’s a lot to try and refill it back up to fit it into the bag.

Really works, but takes some effort to learn how to wrap and wear
