Great day hiker with 8 month old!
A couples months of use so far and it has been great!I’m 6ft tall and my wife is 5’5” and we can adjust it to fit for both of us. Our 8 month old son loves walks/hikes in the backpack. He has even been comfortable enough to fall asleep in it. He gets pretty excited whenever we take the hiking bag out!We additionally got the sunshade and rain cover for it – well worth it and has been used a lot this summer already. I’d at the sun shade is a must for the baby. Overall very good quality and has valuable storage areas for day hikes.

Does not come with sunshade
Great bag… the only complaint that no one helped with was the main description states the bag comes “with” a sunshade when really it needs to say it has a back panel for an OPTIONAL sunshade that costs $35 on top of the $300 already spent…

Quality materials and build
We used this for the first time on a local two mile hike. It was so comfortable for the baby that she fell asleep halfway through! The design is functional and easy to use. The storage capacity holds a lot more than it looks like. We were able to hold all of the baby essentials plus a very large first aid kit. It was light and fit comfortably. It seems to be of very good quality.

10/10 worth the money
So, I splurged on this and it is 100% worth spending the extra money. I have another cheap one that was handed down and it felt like my baby was always about to fall out! The quality of this is unreal, so good! Comfortable to wear for both me and my husband. Your baby is strapped in and so safe, I don’t worry about him falling out now when we are out hiking/hunting. Has so much extra storage for diapers and snacks saving you from carrying another bag. And it collapses down flat. Can’t say enough good things about this child backpack carrier! Spend the extra money! It’s worth it!

Comfortable, sturdy and stable but no sunshade included
Bought for Spring Break: Bryce and Zion. First time taking our 18mo. Bought two packs that had great reviews. Ended going with this one and it was a great choice. The other type from the picture was about $120ish less than this one. And honestly I think my baby looked waaaay happier in the cheaper one. He could see better and just looked like he was sitting happily while we carried him. But it did not feel sturdy on our back. He stuck out too far, if that makes sense. This Osprey one, however, felt just like my Osprey backpacking pack. Except instead of 40lbs of gear, it was my baby. He felt good, close to me, sturdy and stable. It was the instant decision maker.I did like that the other pack had stir ups for his feet. I do feel like I had to give him more breaks from the osprey because his legs were always just hanging with no rest. The trails proved that sturdiness and stability mattered more. My husband carried him the whole time and was able to ascend and descend thru tight turns and very steep situations. I just don’t know that we would’ve been that comfortable with him in the other pack. Not for this adventure at least. We are actually still considering the other, but more for flat or just simple grade hikes. The -1 star is because it didn’t come with a sunshade. And I thought I was the only one who read it that way, but I saw another review and now I know it’s not just me. The title definitely is misleading you into believing it includes the sunshade. I unfortunately didn’t open them until the day before to find out that it didn’t include it, and it was too late to order it. To be honest if the weather had been forecasted to be hotter I would’ve likely continued to consider the other pack because the other shade was awesome. Thankfully I was able to get my son to wear a hat, which almost never happens.Overall, a great buy for our first adventures with him. Looking forward to more, and now we’re even seeing reasons for maybe having more than one type of pack.

Great for toddlers!
Use it all the time! Our toddler fits perfectly and has grown into it nicely. Would certainly purchase again and again.

Great bag!
Short version, just get it. Being free from the stroller is fantastic. This bag is really well thought out. Taking it on the plane was one of the smartest things we’ve ever done. Baby loves riding in it. It’s super lightweight and very easy to pop baby in.3 downsides- 1. Price (you get what you pay for here)2. The weight of the baby is not tight to your back like a proper framed backpack. This is probably an issue with all baby backpacks.3. Still haven’t figured out how to keep the little guys head from flopping around when he goes to sleep. Not the bags fault. Do they make baby neck pillows?

Great Carrier
Love taking my daughter for hikes with this bad boy. I have more mobility and control vs the front carrier I took her in when she was little. I’ve started using it even when I’m just walking a short distance to take the dogs out in the evening. The storage is also super handy. I’ll be sad when she out grows it.

It’s weird that the additional sun shade cannot fit in the bag when not in use. It’s such a design flaw I have to give it one star review.

Great carrier, nice and light weight, folds flat when not in use. I loved the extra storage pockets and have enjoyed using it so far. There was plenty of room for diapers, wipes, snacks and toys.

It is very comfortable to use and the kid likes it. It is also pretty lightweight. Good quality for a low price. I would just like it to have where to place the feet for the kid and some side cushions for the head not to fall to the sides while sleeping.
