Does its job
I know many other reviews addressed some complaints how it leaves a dot on the surface you stick it on. Personally, I could careless because it does what it intends to do, locks things -in my case, the toilet, where we dont want our little ones to get into. I think it is expected that this would leave some kind of sticky gunk or whatever from the surface it was put on, well, its adhesive- how else do you expect to put it on. Better than other stuff that needs to be screwed on! Its better alternative I believe than having a permanent hole on in your stuff. I love this because for ADHESIVE based locks, it works pretty damn good compared to other ones I’ve tried that also poses a risk in trusting products to help keep our children safe. I use this for our toilet and it still holding up on the toilet outer rim. I would suggest though that if you do this, stick the lock part on the rim instead of the other piece w/ the strap. Because I stuck the strap piece on the rim and it tend to fold into the toilet seat. And since its hard to get off, I’m kinda stuck with it that way till I completely replace the whole thing. I just wish it came with extra adhesive stuff so it can be used more than one time after being taken off from first usage. You want to keep your children safe, this will definitely work as long as you clean and dry surface before sticking it on.

Would buy again
Purchased to keep toddlers from getting into the fridge and leaving it open. Worked great, kept kids out and safe and saved our food from spoiling. Easy for adults to open, but hard enough to open that toddlers can’t easily get in. Would recommend to friends

Works great but leaves sticky residue
I bought these Safety 1st straps to use on anything that my toddler boys could open. They are so easy to install (adhere). The adhesive is very strong. These worked great and kept the monsters at bay! I used these on the toilet, stove, medicine cabinet, dresser drawers, fish tank, a safety gate that could open with sticky toddler hands, and some kitchen cabinets. Eventually I could remove most because my kids learned that these places are no longer fun and it hasn’t been an issue since. So they worked as an easy training device too.I have a few complaints. First you need to be very sure where you want to place these. Once placed you can’t change your mind and move them because it will tear the sticky off and not be usable again (once and done type of product). Once in place these are there for the long run. You will need rubbing alcohol mixed with water and a gentle scrubber to get the residue off. Be cautious of what surface these are used on. One I used was connected to a kitchen wall and it took paint chips off with it. I also had a couple break. The plastic strap broke early into use so I had to replace them. These were used on the kitchen cabinets which were opened often so maybe the wear and tear was too much. They are cheap so I always had a few extras on hand. These complaints are minor because the product worked and I don’t think there is any perfect solution so 4 of 5 stars.Shipped fast, arrived on time, packaged well.

Works great for us!
I have had this for about a week now, and it is working wonderfully for us as a fridge lock. This keeps my 19 month old out of the fridge and is easy enough for my 4 year old to operate since I can trust him in the fridge. It’s also easy enough to open one-handed. My husband installed it in about a minute, and that included the time it took to clean the door with rubbing alcohol first! I know some people said that it popped off easily and that they broke it off because they forgot about it, but my husband and I are both strong and haven’t managed to do that yet, even when we forget about it! We did wait 24 hours after adhering it to actually lock it, so that might be what makes the difference. All in all, I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to others. Now I can finally make dinner without having to worry about my refrigerator raider!

Pick Munchkin Xtraguard instead
This brand is not my favorite design of this style of baby proofing. It didn’t keep a drawer under my bathroom sink cabinet shut. The adhesive kept peeling up on the side you unlatch from the tension. I needed it fairly tight to keep my kids from pinching their fingers. After installing both, I recommend the Munchkin Xtraguard over this one since they can be unlocked from either end and have better adhesive.

decent at securing drawers/cabinets but can wear out and may pinch fingers
We needed to secure many cabinets, drawers, and other things around the house to keep our kids out of them. These seemed to be rated well and seemed to have flexibility to be used in many areas as you can adjust the length. We used these to secure drawers and cabinets (kitchen & bath), anchor things like light standing toy shelves to the wall, and secure dresser drawers. The pros:- can adjust the length of the strap- the adhesive to secure the ends is very goodThe not so good:- the plastic strap becomes brittle and breaks on drawers that are used a lot- the plastic strap becomes brittle and breaks more often when the length between ends is shorter (securing something with a small gap)- when closed, the plastic strap allows some ‘play’ because it’s plastic. The longer the setup (larger gap), the more play it allows. It’s easily possible to have some pinched fingers happen with the amount of play it allows in some setups.

This is the strongest safety ever. Only this one can win against my kids, but be careful since it can damage your wall due to its stickiness

Recomendo.
